Former professional triathlete and leading Sports Performance Dietitian, Pip Taylor has been unveiled as PILLAR Perfomance’s Official Performance Dietitian.

An acclaimed author and thought leader in performance nutrition nationally, Taylor astutely combines her clinical expertise with her lived experience as a professional athlete.

Competing at the highest level for more than 15 years and reaching a World No.1 ranking, Pip has competed across the world individually and in elite teams with amazing success.

One of the most respected clinicians in the country, Taylor is the Chair of the AFL Sports Dietitians Association, a Director of the Board for Sports Dietitians Australia and has worked with some of the world’s best athletes, individually and as part of teams.

Taylor will be providing performance specific advice through PILLAR channels including nutrition strategies, recipes and supplementation recommendations for competition preparation, race day and recovery.

CEO, Damien Fitzpatrick was excited to have Taylor on board with PILLAR in an official capacity.

“We’ve been working with Pip for some time, she’s a wonderfully experienced dietitian and we’re so pleased to announce her as part of the team now the brand has been launched,” Fitzpatrick said.

“Pip’s contribution, alongside countless others to the PILLAR range has been so important, we’ve been guided by the expertise of those working in the industry to ensure our range meets the varying micronutrition needs of elite programs.

“The knowledge Pip has already brought to the table through her clinical and practical experience is truly invaluable, what she brings to our customers and the ongoing growth of our brand is just as exciting.

“To have someone of Pip’s calibre being involved with PILLAR illustrates just how important micronutrition is for joint longevity, recovery and overall performance.

“We’re so happy to have Pip as part of our team.”

Taylor said she was excited to be working with PILLAR as they entered the market.

“The work that’s been put into the PILLAR range – the formulations, the quality of the ingredients and the diversity of the range is exciting on several fronts,” Taylor said.

“PILLAR has identified a huge gap in the market, providing high quality micronutrition developed with specific athlete outcomes, and with the confidence of third party batch testing for purity and safety.

“High performance programs have been demanding micronutrition products tailored for their needs, that will protect and improve joint mobility, enhance recovery and protect immunity – elements of athletic management that need ongoing attention.

“It’s been great working with Damien and his team to date, PILLAR is a brand I firmly believe will change widely-held perceptions around sports nutrition and illustrate the way micronutrition can benefit performance.

“I’m really looking forward to working with the PILLAR team to help educate people on how to best manage their nutrition and inform them about supplementation and why micronutrition is such an important aspect of performance.”
