Australia’s leading sports micronutrition brand, PILLAR Performance has been announced as the Official Micronutrition Partner of The IRONMAN Group Oceania, following the opening race of the calendar year in Geelong.

Developed in partnership with some of Australia’s leading Sports Dietitians and based on decades of clinical and elite sporting research, PILLAR has rapidly become the preferred choice of elite endurance athletes and professional sporting teams across the country – renowned for their high potency formulations and premium ingredient sourcing.

The brand – founded by former NSW Waratah, Damien Fitzpatrick – already counts the likes of Ellie Salthouse, Sam Appleton, Steve McKenna, Tim Reed and Sarah Crowley amongst its team of official athletes.

In addition to Fitzpatrick’s elite sporting experience, PILLAR is also home to former World No.1 triathlete and now industry leading Sports Dietitian, Pip Taylor who has been instrumental in the formulation of the brand’s opening range.

PILLAR’s HASTA (Human and Supplement Testing Australia) Certified products will be introduced within this landmark partnership for the Sydney-based start up.

Currently, PILLAR has five HASTA Certified products within their opening range that they will be using to partner alongside all Ironman® Oceania events.

PILLAR’s ambitious vision to have a completely Certified sports micronutrition range is unrivalled within this category and they are working to meet this goal over the coming year as the brand continues to grow and develop new and innovative products.

Fitzpatrick said he was delighted to be partnering with The IRONMAN Group Oceania ahead of the 2022 season.

“When the opportunity arose to be part of The IRONMAN Group Oceania, it was something that our team was incredibly excited about,” Fitzpatrick said.

“Since launching PILLAR last year, we had an almost immediate connection with the triathlon community – they’re athletes who are truly attune to their nutritional requirements and understand the benefits sports micronutrition can bring when competing in endurance events.

“The IRONMAN® brand is an icon of the sport, to now be able to work alongside them across the Oceania Series is a proud moment for our team and we can’t wait to get started.”

PILLAR will be involved in all 14 events featuring IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 races, providing athletes with access to exclusive offers, nutrition education with Pip Taylor and racing insights from some of their official athletes.

Managing Director of The IRONMAN Group Oceania, Geoff Meyer said he was pleased to now be working with an Australian brand so aligned to the sport.

“We’re thrilled to have PILLAR Performance join The IRONMAN Group Oceania as our Official Micronutrition Partner for our 2022 and 2023 events in Australia and New Zealand,” said Meyer.

“It’s great to have an Australian founded and based brand partnering with our events in the region and we look forward to working closely with the PILLAR Performance team to achieve the goals of both organisations, beginning at IRONMAN 70.3 Melbourne on March 20.”
